Assisting a student in psychological crisis can be a powerful and overwhelming experience. Collaboration is key to getting students the supports they need to cope, and staff the resources they need to increase their confidence to act. This workshop will prepare participants with the interpersonal skills and knowledge of campus-based resources to identify and respond to a student that is experiencing a suicidal crisis. Didactic and experiential exercises will be used to identify potential scenarios and collaborative based interventions will be demonstrated.

All participants will be provided with the own training kit from the American Heart Association which includes a portable mannequin which then can be used to educate others.
